These two countries were not chosen lightly as the ideal locations for our plantations. The company spent years researching and undertaking detailed analysis before making the decision.
Both locations, despite the distance between them, offer exceptional natural conditions, governments that are 100% committed to protecting and improving the environment and to the economic development and wellbeing of their population.
These are privileged areas with a long forestry tradition, with natural conditions that offer water, quality soil and an excellent climate, which come together in an almost picture-perfect combination.

Forestry Laws 25080 in Argentina and 7575 in Costa Rica lay down the regulations established for the preservation, protection and management of natural forests, and for the production, capitalisation, industrialisation and promotion of forest resources, in line with principles established to encourage an appropriate and sustainable use of renewable natural resources. As well as upholding their commitment, these countries also encourage reforestation and respect property rights by enforcing crop rights*.
"ecoForests (ecoBosques) only has plantations in tropical and subtropical climates in deforested areas, where the development of the species greatly exceeds the forecast growth rates."
*Crop Rights: Crops cannot be expropriated until harvesting is completed.
