EcoForests (ecoBosques) goal is the production and bringing to market of high-quality teak timber, while paying attention to social, ethical and ecological responsibilities in order to generate optimum returns.
EcoForests (ecoBosques) is a reforestation project for development of sustainable forestry who responds about excellent know-how, use and tradition of these types of plantations and well known forestry species with over 80 years harvesting in Costa Rica.
A privilege location of the plantations, the quality of the water and the soil, excellent rainfall and climate conditions and good forestry management based in GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) allowed us to prove the excellence of this material for its use in commercial plantations with higher growth rates for teak and oak in the first years.
Corporacion Ecologica y Bosques Tropicales S.A. (ecoForests) has the public compromise to respect the environment as a fundamental value for the sustainable development of our activities in the short and the long term. For the same reason, we respect strictly local legal norms and international treaties.
Our activity supposes a very important CO2 outtake from the atmosphere (GHGs sinks), which is being regulated in order to compensate industrial emissions of developed countries. Our plantations are being supervised by organisms such as AIDIMA, INTA and in a near future our timber will be certified since we meet all necessary requirements.
